Washer Repair Parts

Washer will not fill. There is power in electrical outlet and water is turned on.

The water inlet valve is the most common malfunction. Remove the water inlet valve and take to the U-FIX-IT Appliance Parts store free testing. Note: Inlet hoses attach directly to the water inlet valve.

Washer will not spin - Washer sits quietly after completing agitate cycle.

The most common problem for this symptom is the lid switch. The lid switch stops the washer when the lid is raised during the spin cycle. When the lid switch is bad, the washer thinks the lid is open. Bring the switch into the U-FIX-IT Appliance Parts store for free testing.

Another common problem for this symptom is the coupling. The coupling may be the problem when you observe the washer is not agitating or spinning while you can hear the motor running low in the machine. Call the U-FIX-IT Appliance Parts Store for confirmation of your diagnosis.

Washer will not agitate but the motor can be heard running down below.

The most common problem for this symptom is agitator dogs. The dogs are bad when you observe the bottom of the agitator moving, but the top of the agitator is not moving. Call the U-FIX-IT Appliance Parts Store for confirmation of your diagnosis.
Another common problem for this symptom is the coupling. The coupling may be the problem when you observe the washer is not agitating or spinning while you can hear the motor running low in the machine. Call the U-FIX-IT Appliance Parts Store for confirmation of your diagnosis.
A third possibility is a broken belt on washers that have a belt instead of a coupling.

Washer fills but will not agitate and the washer is silent.

The water level is the most common problem for this symptom. The water level switch is located behind the knob for setting the water level. Disconnect the power to the washer and mark where the wires connect on the water level switch. Disconnect the wires and the small hose. Timer - It is usually not the timer
