Part No. ER4389102    Icemaker Board for Whirlpool

Part purpose:

These boards sense when the ice bucket is full-on refrigerators with a vertical auger bucket mounted in the freezer door.  The board is an integral part of the icemaker control system.

Part location on Refrigerator:

These boards are found on the freezer wall. One on each side if the bucket near the top of the bucket.

Part failure symptoms:

The icemaker stops making ice.

Part diagnosis:

If food is freezing solid in the freezer compartment, then the icemaker can be tested by pouring water into the ice maker mold and waiting 3 hours.  If ice kicks out into the bucket, then bring your icemaker water valve into the store for free testing to confirm it is bad. If ice is not kicked out into the bucket, U-FIX-IT recommends replacing both the ice maker and the boards. Call the U-FIX-IT store for free assistance with diagnosis.
