Part Purpose
The 4 dampening straps limit travel of the tub and keep it centered in the washer.
Part Location
These straps are located at the top of the outer tub under the top.
Part Failure symptoms
Failure of one or more dampening straps may cause the tub to sit off center. May also cause excessive movement, noise and vibration during the spin cycle.
Diagnosis
Visual inspection of the straps will reveal if it is broken or stretched. U-FIX-IT recommends replacing all four straps to maintain equal tension in all directions.
