Part location on dryer:

Drum rollers support the drum and allow it to turn.  The belt tension roller rides against the smooth side of the belt and maintains belt tension.  The belt installs around the drum and the motor pulley with the ribbed side toward the drum.

Part failure symptoms:

Bad rollers will often sound like there are tennis shoes in the dryer as it runs with no clothes inside.  Bad rollers sometimes make the drum resistant to turning to the point the motor cannot start.

Part diagnosis:

Removing the drum will allow inspection of the rollers.  Rollers and tension pulley should turn freely and smoothly on the shaft with no wobble.  The belt should have well-defined grooves toward the drum and pulley with no signs of wear on the smooth back.  Bring your parts in for free confirmation that it is good/bad or call the U-FIX-IT store for free assistance with diagnosis.
