Washer Replacement Lid Lock Assembly

Fits many top load washers manufactured by Frigidaire, Westinghouse, Kenmore, Gibson, Electrolux, Sears, WCI, Tappan, and more.

Mounting bracket replaces old style (may need to drill off old bracket before mounting new lock) If replacing 4 wire switch, tape off light switch leads.

Purpose

A safety device that detects when the washer lid is closed and locks the lid down for safety during the spin cycle.

Location

The Lid Lock Assembly is located under the top of the washer.

Failure symptoms

The washer fills and agitates, but does not spin may have a bad lid switch in this assembly. The lid is locked down and will not release may be a failure of the assembly.

Diagnosis

Raise the top of the washer and check for continuity through the lid switch.

Replaces 131595100, 131675600, 3204390, 3204391, 5303306138
